For a long time I have not been writing, apart from emails or technical documents. Despite 'operating' in English for the last 7 consecutive years, I do not feel I am properly equipped to write in English still. Writing in Korean was often a very rewarding experience, a way to crystalise my thoughts and feelings. Avoiding writing, in some ways, enabled me to go on with my life rather practically, but it also made me feel the years were digested more numbly than they should have been.

Perhaps I should tap into the wonderful opportunity that British winter offers - a subdued, tranquil, and private time with my laptop.
